Imagine you’re in a race. If you spend too much time thinking about how to start, you’ll never get off the starting line. But if you start running, even if you stumble a bit, you’re already ahead of those who are still waiting. This doesn’t mean you should act recklessly, but it does mean that taking action, even imperfect action, is better than not acting at all.


Think of it like learning to ride a bike. The best way to learn is to start pedaling, even if you wobble or fall a few times. Each fall teaches you something new—how to balance better, how to steer more smoothly. The same goes for any goal you have. The faster you start, the faster you learn and improve.

  4. Create a Bias Toward Action: Train yourself to act quickly when you have an idea. Instead of thinking about all the reasons why something might not work, focus on what you can do right now to test it out.

  5. Limit Overthinking: If you find yourself stuck in an endless loop of planning and overthinking, set a timer for 10 minutes. Use that time to make a decision or plan your first step. When the timer goes off, take action based on your decision.
